The goal of the mini program is to introduce young players to the game of soccer. There are three main components to the CFC Juniors program:

1. Coerver® Academy

With the help of our professionally-trained coaching staff, each player will receive training weekly. Academy sessions follow the Coerver® Coaching teaching method. This method focuses on individual skills development and small group play and is endorsed by notables such as Arsenal FC, Bayern Munich FC, and the French Football Federation.

Every week, young players come out to the CFC Complex for Academy to have fun, learn skills, and develop character.

2. Team Training

Each player will be placed on a team with a volunteer coach. Teams will hold their own training sessions every week. This can be at the CFC Complex or at a local park or elementary school. All practices should be player centric, not team centric. The focus at all levels should be on player development and small group play. All coaches will have access to the CFC/Coerver website which will provide them with a coaches handbook outlining the Academy and topics to be covered during the duration of the season.

3. Game play

Games for all age groups are held every Saturday during the season. Games can be scheduled from any time between 9:00am and 4:00pm.  The emphasis in each game on player development, sportsmanship, competition, and fun. All players must play at least half of the game. The rules, field size, and roster size have been put in place to maximize the overall experience and development of players. Games should be fun, fast, and entertaining for families.
